On 10, 12, 15, 17 & 20M I use a homebrew Hexbeam mounted on a very short
tower section, it's approximately 20ft/6M high. This antenna is basically 5x 2
ele wire yagi's that have been folded and mounted on a frame made of six GRP
spreaders, you can see the shape on the picture below.
On 20M thru to 12M the measured gain is approx 2dBd and on 10M it is 0dBd. The
front to back varies from 3 S units to 7 S units depending on the band. Some
improvement could be made on 10M but it works well as it is. The turning radius
is less than 3M / 10ft so is very appealing for small gardens. As you can see
from the layout below my Hexbeam is actually overhanging my neighbour's
property.

At the moment the only other antenna I have up is the 6 ele 6M yagi, due to the rebuild of the aerials the antennas for 30M and below will be the last to go back up.
